I used suffix new leadcore this weekend for the first time and i have to say it is tough as nails! Many of you know the swim i fished in the tourney and i gave that stuff a real test! I had bridge pilings along with a lot of submerged wood that fish were running me into. The line did not show any signs of wear what so ever and the lead did not pop out of the sides like it does with many other leadcore lines. I'm very impressed with it and highly recommend it. Not to expensive either. i think it was 12.99 for 100 yards.

thanks for posting that info Ryan. I have seen the suffix leadcore at the store but I still have some of the old stuff so I never tried it. I use all the other suffix lines for bass fishing and they perform better then anything. I think I know what to get when I run out of my old leadcore. I think I have Mason leadcore now, its not so good.

So im wondering just how this leadcore goes onto your main line as its thin and im guessing you would have to tie a knot as it wont splice?, So if your using an in-line lead as 99% of you guys do, How (if you get snapped off/or the fish gets snagged) is the in-line lead ment to pass over the knot making this leadcore a good idea?.
I could see that if your using a standerd lead with a lead clip that the fish could lose the lead, but not with the in-line.

enlighten me here
