How to fish a Doughbait on a Hair Hig - Justin Gerard

This is how to fish a doughbait on a Hair rig:

Here are some pics on how I do it and this rig even works great on buffalo with a smaller hook (i.e. 6 or 8) I'm using just a plain shank number 4 baitholder in these pics what I use 95% of the time.

Ok here's what ya need....( piece of leader material (gorilla braid pictured , a hook , and a small bead )

Tie a knot on the bead in this I'm using a clinch knot.

Ok now you'll wanna make a knotless knot with your hook with the bead close to the bend

Ok make ya some doughball or pack and throw it on there and hang on...you'll usually get a run within 5 mins of the bite depending how big size of doughball ya use. *bait pictures is just a oatmeal doughball* (take a handful of oats and dunk em in the water and squeeze the excess water out)
